I first heard about Trust Automation from my machining lecturer, Kris Hamann. I was interested right away in this local engineering company in SLO producing motion control solutions for a wide range of applications, from semiconductor positioning to counter UAV systems. Three years later, I was hired on as a Mechanical Engineering Intern. Working with Kris, who is also the head of mechanical engineering at Trust, significantly expanded my engineering skillset.
My projects consisted of CAD design work and rapid prototyping, alongside working with defense contractors for requirement validation. Pictured above is Trust's Small Unmanned Aerial Defense System (SUADS), a project I contributed to developing over two years. I worked two summers at Trust along with part-time during the school year, allowing me to finish long-term projects. Out of respect for company protocal I cannot disclose technical documentation of my work, if you are interested in more information about Trust Automation please visit https://www.trustautomation.com/
